Shipping Charges: Shipping charges as noted are for Domestic shipping to the lower 48 States. Orders being sent to Alaska, Hawaii and all International Orders should inquire with us directly for accurate shipping & handling charges. By placing an order, international customers agree to accept responsibility for loss or damage, since tracking and insurance is not normally available for international shipments.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, E Check, PayPal
and personal checks upon approval. OH residents add 6.75% sales tax.

Shipping Insurance
Packages are generally shipped Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Fabric or other heavy packages may be shipped a class other than Priority, unless you are willing to pay the extra postage. We cannot be responsible for loss or damage that occurs in transit. If you wish to insure your shipment please purchase when you check out.

Because of the very high cost of shipping charges, we will generally wait until an order can be shipped complete, rather than having two or more shipments. This can cause longer delivery times, sometimes a month or more before your order is shipped.

Unfortunately, a business like ours that carries so many handcrafted items may run into trouble with backorders. We share your frustration. Generally, orders will be held until they can be shipped complete unless you have specific instructions for us. For instance, if certain item(s) are more urgently needed, would you like us to ship all possible and backorder the rest as a separate order? Or, ship all possible and cancel the balance? Perhaps the cost of shipping is irrelevant to you and you want multiple shipments sent as soon as the items become available, in which case multiple shipping charges will apply.

Terms of Sale

1. Prices may increase at any time.

2. If you provide print fabric for construction we cannot be responsible for the condition of the fabric. You must be sure your fabric is made of natural fibers and does not contain synthetics. You must wash, dry and press the fabric before it is shipped to us. We do not accept wool, or solid color linen or cotton fabrics.

3. Shipping insurance is your choice. We are not responsible for loss or damage that occurs in transit. If transit damage is noted on arrival you must file a claim immediately with the delivering carrier. Also, please be sure to notify us at once so we can track the claim, too. Your satisfaction is our primary concern and we'll do all we can to help you.

4. A 10% restocking charge will be made to cover handling of all goods returned NOT WANTED. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

5. Return shipments must start back to us within five days of receipt and must reach us in the same condition as when it left here (unworn, unaltered, unwashed, etc.). The package must reach us within ten(10) days of the day our tracking information shows you received it.

6. All clothing, fabric, ribbon and custom made items are not refundable and all such sales are final.

7. Before clothing is made a work order will be sent to you for your approval. Your garments will be made according to those specifications and will only be altered at no cost if they were not made to those specifications. Returns for alterations are accepted within 10 days only. That means we must receive the item back within ten (10) days of the day our tracking information shows you received it. All other alterations will be charged $20 per hour.

8. Please remember reproductions of historic garments fit and look like historic garments looked; not as modern garments fit and look. For instance, Rev War regimental coats are close fitting, 17th century smocks are very loose, etc. We do not want you to be surprised. We do our research; please do yours.

9. If you believe any item is defective, write or call us BEFORE you return it and describe the problem as fully as you can - a return may not be necessary. Our daytime phone number is

10. Sorry, we will not ship anything C.O.D. The returned check fee is $35.00.
