Gilet Sleeveless
The civilian gilet (French for vest) is described in Diderot as a type of "small waist coat without the skirts," which can be sleeved or sleeveless, and is worn either under the shirt or over the shirt or for winter wear to add an extra layer of warmth. It is pocket-less and falls just below the waist. Medium weight wool lined with linen. Bone, horn or wood buttons. State chest size and color. We will provide a form requesting additional measurements and details.
Shown in straw wool with natural linen lining and bone buttons.
